The team of Oncilla Project develops the work in a threatened and fragmented ecosystem, the Interior Atlantic Forest. In this place living three Small Neotropical Felidae: the oncilla (Leopardus guttulus), margay (Leopardus wiedii) and Jaguarundi (Puma yaguaroundi).

These species is included in brazilian and IUCN threatened species list, because their habitat and their food are becoming scarcer. In Interior Atlantic Forest these species living next the farmers since colonization and change this ecosystem is still considerable more is recent. For this reason, the team is developing in this place:

1 - Train students to act, organize and developed biodiversity preservation.
2 - Educate people living near forest areas (children and farmers) about small Neotropical Felidae and biodiversity that living in this ecosystem.
3 - To Know the habitats and covered areas with GPS telemetry in this fragmented ecosystem.
4 - Encourage nearby land owners that possess remaining forest spots in their property to create conservation units.
5 - Indicate these important forest spots to the environmental authorities, as well as the intention and landowners to create conservation units.
6 - Provide assistance for farmers when there are cases of conflict with domestic animals and small Felids.
