Assessing the importance of Pakistan for wintering populations of the Critically Endangered Sociable Lapwing
1. Gain a greater understanding of the numbers and distribution of Sociable Lapwings wintering in the Sindh and Baluchistan provinces of southern Pakistan, and help identify key areas for future conservation initiatives
2. Promote the conservation of Sociable Lapwing in Pakistan and engage local communities in its protection
3. Further develop capacity in Sindh and Baluchistan provinces to undertake future conservation initiatives
4. To contribute to the overall international conservation effort of the Sociable Lapwing as part of the AEWA Single Species Action Plan for the species.
