This project enabled us to provide first ever biological information for a critically endangered Rhacophorid frog from Northeast hotspot region of India. Further based on fresh material we redescribed the species and determined its Phylogenetic position. We studied reproductive biology and compared with South Asian lineages.

Community based conservation of the Irangi Puddle Frog is part of the Mystery Amphibian Rescue and Conservation: The Rebirth of Irangi and Sagalla frogs in Kenya which is an innovative species conservation project by Gold Kenya. Phrynobatrachus irangi is an endangered species threatened to habitat loss and this project address its conservation in a model that has emerged as an outright success story.

The critically endangered robber frog Craugastor ranoides was once found throughout lower Mesoamerica. However, due to disease and habitat loss, it was known from only one location in Costa Rica. We have recently located a second population in southwestern Nicaragua, a country where it had not been documented for 20 years. With support from MBZ we researching and conserving this population.

This Critically Endangered frog is only known from seven scattered localities in Cuba. It is strictly associated with rocky habitats and It has not been seen for more than 25 years in three of them. Populations might be threatened by Chytridiomycosis. We aim at starting a long-term monitoring program and at promoting its long-lasting conservation by developing educational activities with local people.

In the south of Europe, at only 60 km of one of the most popular cities of the world, Barcelona, there is the Biosphere Reserve and Natural Park of Montseny. This mountain range is the home of one of the latest amphibians decribed in Europe, the most endangered of the western side of the continent, the Montseny's newt (Calotriton arnoldi).
