Finding the missing Spoon-billed Sandpiper Stopover Sites
To catch three previously colour marked Spoon-billed Sandpipers that have not been located outside the breeding grounds where they were marked and fit them with specially developed satellite transmitters (1.6gram PPTs) that will transmit the birds locations approximately every 8 hours. To track the birds to the missing stopover sites in the month after the birds leave the breeding grounds and to the sites that they use to undergo their annual moult of their flight feathers.
