STATUS OF THE UGANDA CLAWED FROG, Xenopus ruwenzoriensis, AMIDST CLIMATE CHANGE AND HABITAT DEGRADATION

The overall objective is to assess the status of Xenopus ruwenzoriensis in Uganda amidst the changing climate and habitat degradation. This will be achieved using a combination of methods including field surveys and spatial modelling techniques. The project also aims to sensitize local communities about the conservation of Xenopus ruwenzoriensis through mitigating environmental degradation and fostering restoration initiatives. This will help us to assess the threats faced by Xenopus ruwenzoriensis and also be able to recommend actionable miti
gation measures.
