Befriending the Critically Endangered Nguru Spiny Pygmy Chameleon (Rhampholeon acuminatus): Assessing the Abundance, Distribution and Threats to its Conservation
The overall objective of this project is to assess the current population and distribution of the Critically Endangered and Endemic Rhampholeon acuminatus. Also, the project will develop the action plan for the conservation of this unique species as well as the management of its habitat. More specifically, the project aims at collecting reliable data that will help to answer some of the questions about the population size, distribution, treats to the existence of this endemic species and associated recognized data gaps by the IUCN red list.
