The main project aim is to enhance the conservation of C. dawida by improving quality and quantity of its habitat through community participation, securing and increasing its habitat quality, and establish the current population distribution of C. dawida. This will include, enhancing the forest cover by restoring degraded sites through planting of indigenous trees and establish its current population status and create awareness of its existence and role in ecosystem. Therefore, the community is expected to see the need to conserve the species, establish and maintain an indigenous forest nursery through the help of the project, take part in securing the habitat, the species' population is expected to stabilize and improve, and initiating community-based amphibian monitoring programs. The specific objective are: To increase the size and quality of available habitat for the species; To conduct a public awareness and information dissemination to increase knowledge on C.dawida; To initiate continuous improvement community-led amphibian and habitat monitoring programs.
