In collaboration with the national and regional governments, organization of workshops with fishermen's associations, artisans and nature guides in the different areas of the region to raise awareness and understanding about the biology of river dolphins, the threats they are facing and the importance of protecting them and conserving their habitat. I will write and print a river dolphin summary guide to distribute and compliment the workshops, it will be the first time Peru has one! I will also write and print an educational guide for children to support our education program in schools, colleges and fishing communities, this will help to spread our conservation message. Observations of river dolphins and threats in the region, especially around Iquitos to learn more about them and to motivate the tourism with these species as an alternative to the fishing activity in the region. The river dolphin summary guide will also help with this objective.
